Hello and Welcome!
For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for both animals and the great outdoors. Photography allows me to combine these two loves and share my passion with others.
My Story
When you take a look at your camera roll, what do you see? For me, it's an embarrasingly excessive amount of pictures of my fur babes or pretty scenary while traveling or just out and about on the weekends.

One day, I had a super stressful day at work and I thought to myself "I need a hobby". So off to google I went. "Hobby ideas". It listed out baking, reading, knitting. Baking, sure but I am looking for something else. Reading...eh. Knitting...hard pass. Then I see photography. It definitely peaked my interest but I only had my phone as a camera. Then I got to thinking...what if I asked for a camera for Christmas?! It doesn't have to be the fanciest thing out there. Just something to get started to make sure I like photography.

Thanksgiving rolls around and my 4 year old nephew is showing me want he wants for Christmas with my mom's phone. He accidentally clicks on orders and there it is! The camera I had been wanting and it said "arriving soon". I had to watch my face because I didn't want to give it away that he just showed me my Christmas gift. I moved back to his list and we acted like nothing happened.

Christmas comes and I get my camera. I take it out very carefully and start taking pictures of the boys (my 2 golden retrievers) and random things outside. I definitely needed to look into the settings on this new camera of mine but I loved it! I put it back in its packaging and placed it carefully in my closet until I can get out and use it.

A few weeks later I had another really stressful week at work and was dealing with high anxiety. Saturday rolled around and I needed to get out. Away from anything and everything. I needed to escape. I talked my husband, Jonathan, into going on a hike with me. We picked a really cool spot in Crab Orchard, TN and we hit the road. When I got back home and was going through the pictures I took, I felt so proud! I did that! Now, I am not saying they were the greatest pictures of all time but I was proud of myself! I took time for myself, was able to escape like I needed and took some really cool pictures along the way. It was a win-win!

Having this hobby has allowed me to relax, my anixety has significantly improved and it's helped me not get so stressed out over the little things. I am actually having FUN!
I am so appreciative to have had the opportunity to photograph Cummins Falls for the Cookeville Lifestyle Magazine! What an honor and a privilegde that was! After the positive feedback I received, I've decided to share my hobby with all of you! I hope you enjoy the pictures I have taken and if you happen to have any recommendations on my next stop, please send those over through the contact box or through any of my social media pages!
